A popular Pakistani VJ who recently entered the film world, Mahira Khan’s life did not always revolve around the film world. After completing her schooling from the prestigious Foundation Public School at Karachi, she went on to pursue her higher education at Los Angeles in Santa Monica Community College. Mahira entered the television world at the age of 16 as a VJ or a video jockey. She has hosted a number of shows, such as MTV Most Wanted on the very popular MTV Pakistan. She was also the host of Weekends With Mahira on Aag TV. Her aspirations to become an actress, however, remained unfulfilled till she achieved a break through by working in the film Bol, which was directed by Shoaib Mansoor. This film released in the year 2011 and marked Mahira’s entry into the film world.
Other than being a VJ, Mahira Khan is also a popular small screen actress. She has acted in several small screen shows, such as Humsafar. This show is based on the novel by Farhat Ishtiaq. Mahira’s acting on the show not only gained her thousands of fans across the country, but she was also critically acclaimed for her acting. She to be a natural when it comes to acting. When she left the country to study abroad, Mahira revealed that she would have to do all kinds of odd jobs in order to earn some money. She has worked at various stores in Los Angeles and at an interview revealed that she laughs when she thinks of the days that have now passed.
